What it Takes to Earn the Label “Certified Refurbished”

Frankly, most “used” barcode, ADC or wireless equipment on the market today is sold without any guarantee as to its quality. The seller gives it a superficial cleaning, then you, the buyer, are obligated to perform any necessary testing and repairs.

Ryzex Certified Refurbishment is something else entirely, a multi-step chain of inspection, testing and restoration that ensures that our refurbished barcode equipment performs as well as – or better – than new.

  1. We begin with general evaluation and testing. Every piece of equipment undergoes a rigorous 10-point physical inspection.
  2. Then we conduct product-specific tests. After passing the initial inspection and another 10-point retest, each product goes through a demanding series of tests unique to its type. Scanners, for example, must pass up to 15 programming and compatibility tests. Handheld terminals are subjected to as many as 84 data-handling tests. Printers have to pass up to 15 tests of their print heads, sensors, buffers and more.
  3. We add or replace necessary components. We rely on our deep inventory to replace any defective or underperforming parts.
  4. Yes, we can customise it for you. We’re eager to adjust the product, install software, or make any customisation you might require so that the product works with your installed system.
  5. We’ll make it look good, too. It may be just a cosmetic detail, but we insist that our Certified Refurbished barcode products are carefully cleaned to look their best, right out of the box.

Reconditioned batteries

Ryzex reconditions weak batteries to within 60% to 75% of their original charge capacity. You may buy refurbished batteries – for substantially less than new – or submit your own batteries for reconditioning. All refurbished batteries carry a 90-day warranty. And if we cannot recondition your batteries, we can either return them to you or recycle the batteries.
