A single failing battery can cost your business thousands of pounds annually.  Ryzex has created comprehensive and flexible service solutions to help identify and remove failing batteries from operational use.  This will improve return on investment for your mobility device equipment.

Service Option 1 - On Site Battery Health Check

A Ryzex engineer will visit your site and administer Ryzex's Battery Management Service using our battery testing equipment.  Service Option One includes:

• Full engineering support
• A technical state of health measurement on all available batteries
• Identification of all failing batteries
• Inspection of battery plastics and connectors for structural integrity and functionality
• Advice and training from an experienced Ryzex engineer on how to maintain and manage batteries for optimum performance
• Site removal of any old or worn batteries
• Disposal of any old or worn batteries in an environmentally friendly manner in accordance with the EU directive WEEE (2002/96/EC)
• Replacement batteries (additional cost)

Service Option 2 - Ryzex Return-To-Base Battery Health Check

The customer sends all battery inventory to Ryzex and our trained engineers will undertake a detailed technical analysis of the battery's condition and report our findings back to you.

Test and Analysis	Benefits and Deliverables
Check Mode and Testing	• Estimated the state of health of each battery using dedicated technical test equipment. • If a battery reaches 80%+ of its rated capacity it is considered to be acceptable.
Battery Measurement and Analysis	• An analysis cycle is undertaken using dedicated technical test equipment to determine the milliampere-hour (mAh) reading and then compared to the battery's rating.  A detailed report is generated.
Free Health Check	• A FREE health check is provided with a maintenance contract on your existing population of batteries (includes testing at one customer site or Return to Base (RTB))
Battery Conditioning	Benefits and Deliverables
Condition Mode (Ni-Cad Batteries only)	• Restores a ni-cad battery to its highest potential capacity (80% minimum).  This is undertaken prior to the above analysis cycle.
Additional Checks	Benefits and Deliverables
Plastics and Connectors	• Battery plastics and connectors will be inspected for structural integrity and functionality.
Disposal	• If a tested battery's capacity is below 80%, the failing battery will be disposed of in an environmentally acceptable manner in accordance with the EU directive WEEE (2002/96/EC)
Advice	Benefits and Deliverables
Battery Management	• Advice and training from an experienced Ryzex engineer on how to maintain and manage batteries for optimum performance.
Term	• 1, 2 and 3 year contracts available.

Service Option 3 - Battery Maintenance Contract

Battery maintenance is split into two categories: 
1.  New batteries
2.  Existing population of batteries

New Batteries

• The maintenance begins 6 months after the sale (after a 12 month maintenance contract, batteries will be 18 months old)
• Contracts are for a minimum of 12 months
• Batteries sent back with device or on their own (a battery contract can be taken out even if units are repaired by another repair provider)
• Failing batteries replaced free of charge under the contract
• Population of batteries would effectively be refreshed every 2 years (50% per year)

Existing Population of Batteries

• The maintenance begins immediately
• Price includes FREE battery health check of existing population either onsite or RTB (tested up to 80% capacity)
• Minimum contract is 12 months
• Batteries sent back with device or on their own (a battery contract can be taken out even if units are repaired by another repair provider)
• Failing batteries replaced free of charge under the contract
• Population of batteries would effectively be refreshed every 2 years (50% per year)
