With the help of its trusted advisor, Ryzex, HDNL has completed its deployment of Wavelink software and now leverages the solution to push out configuration and security updates.&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Recalling thousands of devices from the field every time an update was necessary was simply not an option for HDNL. The option would have been too time consuming and would have resulted in reduced productivity and worker downtime. HDNL therefore decided to look for a mobile device management solution.&lt;/p&gt;

The MSI 2100 from the early 1970s has been found to be the oldest operational barcode device out of two months of submissions. The faster speed in communications enables technicians to deliver an extra half-job per day on top of their normal ten daily customer visits.&amp;nbsp; Kwik-Fit has also cut its communications cost by 75 per cent and, based on these savings alone, will recover the cost of the new mobile technology system in less than 18 months. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align="left"&gt;“The five per cent improvement in efficiency is significant,” says Simon Lucas, Operations Director of Kwik-Fit Fleet, “particularly when you consider the significant efficiencies we had already achieved through two previous mobile technology implementations.&amp;nbsp; Another major success is the ability to capture customer signatures electronically which has removed the need for follow-up paper work on over 2000 jobs per day.”&lt;/p&gt;

As Kwik-Fit’s chosen software application partner, MMCC Consultants developed the application that now runs on the hand held devices as well as the Zebra RW420 mobile printers.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align="left"&gt;In the past, ten per cent of Kwik-Fit’s hand held devices would be returned to head office for repair.&amp;nbsp; The technician would then revert to manual systems with a 20% drop in efficiency. “With B2M’s &lt;strong&gt;mprodigy&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;sup&gt;TM&lt;/sup&gt;&lt;strong&gt; &lt;/strong&gt;we can now resolve 90 per cent of failures using its remote diagnostics functionality,” adds Simon. “Any software issue can be fixed remotely without technicians having to come into the office.&amp;nbsp; In fact, in the first three weeks of operation, we were able to send out two software updates at the touch of button which has meant an extremely fast and effective implementation.”&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p align="left"&gt;MMCC’s new application takes Kwik-Fit technicians through their daily work schedules. &lt;strong&gt;mprodigy&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;sup&gt;TM&lt;/sup&gt;&lt;strong&gt;’s&lt;/strong&gt; secure communications system transfers data to and from the mobile device quickly and securely. “The fast communications means technicians no longer need to wait for authorisation on a job and no longer undertake the work in anticipation that an authorisation is imminent.”&amp;nbsp; &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Courier Systems, London’s leading independent sameday courier company, is deploying a real time mobile data solution running on the Intermec CN3 mobile computer, supplied by technology service company Ryzex PLC. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;With a fleet of over 250 motorcycles, vans and pushbikes and access to a further 1,200 vehicles nationwide, Courier Systems’ runs a 24/7 x 365 operation. It’s a complicated, high volume delivery business with a wide variety of services, ranging from sameday nationwide deliveries, to niche market technical couriers and film distribution services. Although already equipped with handheld devices, the company needed to gain constant visibility of the location and status of its drivers and riders 100% of the time and its current solution was letting it down, preventing it from giving its customers live tracking.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Ian Oliver, Managing Director at Courier Systems, explained “We needed a device with integrated GPS that was rugged enough to cope with all weather conditions when used on the bikes. Our previous system used a separate Bluetooth GPS device and our drivers were dropping off the radar when the two devices became unpaired.”&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The ability to capture a variety of data electronically in the field, such as barcodes, signatures and colour photographs were also important requirements. Courier Systems needed to be able to scan barcodes on the films that it delivers, capture signatures on screen for proof of delivery and take pictures of damaged goods to support its technical courier business. Ryzex recommended the Intermec CN3 as it offered all of the functionality required enabling drivers to carry a single device for all their data capture and communication needs. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Ryzex is supplying Courier Systems with 100 Intermec CN3 mobile computers with integrated GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi (802.11g), GPRS and a 1D barcode scanner. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The devices will run NX, the mobile data application developed by DA Systems, Ryzex’s software partner, which meets the specific needs of the transport, logistics and courier markets.&lt;/p&gt;

The cheque was presented to Lucy Kaile (aged 12), a pupil at the school.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;S.N.A.P. is a registered charity (no.1109506) and is raising money for a much needed hydrotherapy pool for the children of St Nicholas' School in Chippenham. St Nicholas' School provides education and care for children with severe learning difficulties and is supported by patron Amanda Parr, the broadcaster and television presenter. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Ryzex organised a number of unique fundraising activities, including the development of its own Intranet-based auction site, which enabled staff to bid for donated items in a similar way to other well known online auction sites. &lt;/p&gt;
